Low quality of Radio Golha and other Persian radio stations

Dear Mr. Rezvani,

1) I am looking for such a collection too.
What annoys me is the low quality of the music broadcasted on Radio Golha (about 20 kbs sampling rate!).
I sent them an email and asked about the quality of the broadcasted music on their station, but their reply to my email was unsatisfactory.
I appreciate the efforts of RadioGolha establishers and organizers, but unfortunately they stick with the very low sampling rate of the music they broadcast.

I usually record / listen to two other Internet radio stations that broadcasts Aseel music at 120 kbs sampling rate (so called "CD quality").
The Internet addresses of these two latter radio stations are: www.radiodarvish.com and www.iranianradio.com .

These radio stations stream in Shoutcast MP3 format, therefore, you can record the music without listening to it.
To record the music on these stations you need some sort of streaming recorder software such as RadioTracker (from http://www.audials.com).
(Of course, you can listen to the station on your MP3 player software as well.)

I've been recording RadioDarvish during the time being working on my PC during the past four years.
Interestingly, many of the Golha programs are broadcasted with a surprisingly high quality on these stations, higher than cassette tape quality.

2) Farsi language is already included in Windows XP and Vista due to the market in Persian speaking countries (Iran was not considered by Microsoft).
You need to activate it in your Windows XP or Vista.

In Windows XP you need to open your control panel, then "Regional and Language Options" then select the tab "Languages" and tick the small box next to the option "Install Files for Complex Script and Right to Left ..." and press OK. You may need your Windows XP CD to get the software installed.

After installation and rebooting your PC, open Control Panel and "Regional and Language Options" again. select the tab "Regional options". In a dropdown menu you can add Farsi to your usable languages.

You can change the keyboard language to Farsi and back to English by pressing Shift (or Alt) and Control keys together.
These keys can be changed in the Language settings in the Control Panel.

Please let me know if I could be of any further assistance.
Good luck and regards,

Ahmad
